Let's Get Outdoors in St. Charles County!
St. Charles County has many great parks, sports complexes, bicycling, hiking, fishing and outdoor recreation areas − from a simple walk in the park, to camping, fishing, hiking the Katy Trail, equestrian events or just a family gathering in the park. For the sports enthusiast you will find information on where to go for outdoor recreation like swimming, baseball, softball, skate boarding, bicycling, jogging, tennis and more - they are all in your backyard! Many of the parks are perfect for wedding receptions. All of these outdoor parks and recreation areas are within a short drive of St. Charles, St. Peters, O'Fallon, Chesterfield, Wentzville and Lake St. Louis.
Please note that some of the facilities require fees or reservatons for specific activities. Be sure to contact the specific park ahead of time to make sure you event or planned activity will be enjoyable.

| Wapelhorst Park Friday, June 8, 7 −10 p.m. The St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the City of St. Charles will have a family party, south of I-70 at Wapelhorst Park on Friday, June 8th. This event has been very popular in the past and this year promises to be even bigger and better. Games for children, inflatable rides, food and beverages, music by "We are Point Blank", water games for children & extended hours at Wapelhorst Pool, and much more will be offered. Quail Ridge Park, Shelter #1 June 11-15, 9:30 - 11:30 AM Park Explorer Kids Club Age Requirement: 1st through 5th Graders only. Get your child interested in the outdoors, as an exciting schedule of outdoor educational programs, crafts, and games will turn your child into a Park Explorer. Advanced registration is required. | Youth Activity Park June 18−22 Session #1: 8−10 AM Session #2: 10 AM−Noon Camp Kick/Flip A week−long skate camp teaches basic to intermediate skating techniques and tricks.
